If you’ve grown bored of neutral colors—the beiges, greys and greiges—dominating bathroom cultured marble colors, you’re in for a surprising treat. (Though you probably won’t see it much represented in any showroom of “cultured marble near me.”)
The Pantone Color of the Year 2023 was announced recently. Drum roll please…
Viva Magenta
Pantone Color Institute’s executive director Leatrice Eiseman described the color as a “fist in a velvet glove.” She went on to explain, “It’s a nuanced crimson red tone that presents a balance between warm and cool, making it what we call a hybrid color. It’s audacious, it’s witty, it’s inclusive of all…it’s an easily embraceable color.”
What does the Pantone Color of the Year have to do with bathrooms or choosing a cultured marble color for your counter and vanity top bowls? Turns out, a lot. You’ll, no doubt, see Viva Magenta represented everywhere, from clothing, appliances and home furnishing and décor to the virtual world of the Metaverse.
Using Cultured Marble Colors in Your Bath Remodel
Typically, a bathroom upgrade or remodel involves replacing your counter and vanity top bowls, and quite possibly your shower base and wall set, too, especially if it’s been years since the last update.
You’ll have choices to make on your cultured marble vanity’s size; double or single sink; the style and design; and the base and walls. And, then there is the color. Choosing cultured marble colors for your bathroom remodel is difficult. You want a color that is a noticeable upgrade from the previous, but not so trendy that it’ll be out of style in a few years. Complete Home Concepts has 40+ cultured marble colors from which to choose.
Will you see Viva Magenta represented? Using this color for your cultured marble countertops or shower base and wall set would be quite the commitment. We do manufacture something close: Magma-PS-601. You can check it out in our showroom or on our cultured marble online gallery. Interior designers recommend going neutral with countertops, vanities and shower bases and walls since these items can’t be updated as easily or affordably as accessories and paint can.
Neutral Cultured Marble Colors Offer Plenty of Options for Pops of Colors
Neutral cultured marble colors offer the widest variety of options. Installing a neutral-colored vanity lets you update your bath with trendy colored accessories, like towels, bath mats, etc. Yet, when the time comes to sell, the neutral cultured marble will appeal to many buyers and save you the money and hassle of replacing it.
Neutral cultured marble colors include beige, ivory, taupe, black, or shades of gray or white. All of these colors complement both warm and cool colors, as well as a variety of styles, which gives you the most options now and should you decide to renovate or update later. Neutrals don’t go out of style and easily match trendier colors like Viva Magenta.

Are Bright Colors Replacing the Popular Monochromatic Bathroom Color?
For several years now, white has ruled as the most popular monochromatic bathroom color. And, for good reason. White cultured marble color schemes create a spa-like, clean, modern appearance. Using single colors, white or otherwise, pulls the eye to other elements on which you’d rather focus, such as a mirror, tub or an accent wall. Also, monochromatic bathrooms appear larger because there are no discernable, competing colors that break up the space.
Those are reasons homeowners aren’t likely to give up for a striking reddish pink. However, that’s not to say that Viva Magenta and other energizing colors don’t have their place even in a monochromatic bath. Homeowners and designers can pull inspiration from trendy colors, like Viva Magenta to add small pop of color, such as a vase or tray.
While neutral and monochromatic are most popular and timeless, there are exceptions to the design rules. Whatever you have in mind, Complete Home Concepts can handcraft a cultured marble vanity to match.
